About the Founder

Seeing a void in the market in terms of ID readers availability, Astornet decided to develop a product capable to easily read many types of encoded IDs, available in the US and Canada.

As president of Astornet Technologies, Inc., a technology company he founded 1999, Michael and his team of hardware experts developed and patented the Reveel-IT™ Imaging Credentials Reader in 2004.

Reveel-IT™ reads encoded drivers licenses from all U.S. States and Canada, on the fly. Additionally it reads credit cards and store cards, as additional means of identification.

Michael earned his MBA from the University of Maryland, a Masters of Science in Computer Engineering from The University of Cincinnati, and his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Universite Catholique De Louvain in Belgium.

The company is based in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
